Night diary
Veći deo fotografija se može videti na sledećem linku: https://sanjasolunac.com/night-diary/ The night diary is a notebook of painful experiences, which consists of a series of photographs. In recent years, I have encountered a disease of some organs. Those changes brought me new physical experiences that made me feel different. All the anxiety goes down to the legs, which are often very swollen, and the pain becomes stronger when night falls, when the body calms down and tries to rest. Then a new awakening occurs in me and I have nothing left (besides medical therapy) but to concentrate and record every moment. These completely new experiences, which I record with a camera while taking experimental photos, are the moments when I am constantly getting to know my limits. The questioning, the feeling of guilt, the state of panic, the need for physical and mental escape is quite intensified in those moments. One process is experienced again, which brings with it a big wave of fatigue, which slows down all the activities of everyday life. Creativity from the experience of pain is already grounded in the history of art and contemporary creativity, and because of that, sometimes I have the impression that I am in a vicious circle where the personal becomes general. Reflections of the outside world on the inside are inevitable, the only question is how deep they can go and how they reflect on the person. Graorasto
Rad se može videti na sledećem linku: vimeo.com/546415133 Working as a visual designer, on one occasion I was called by the client of the illustration, and asked if the background color could be graorasto (grayish brownish). I did know the term, but I wasn't sure what color it was. That day I posted a story on my instagram profile asking what color it was. This story post was my first digital ready-made. Interactive ready-made, because I got answers from people I was connected to through that network. The answers had such a spectrum of similarities, differences and wit that it had a literal and metaphorical meaning - like: “that color is like a mouse gray; brown like beans, grayish brown; pigeon blue, but resembles gray; grayish as unripe beans; sandy grayish; as partridge; slightly chestnut, but that it is pastel gray; the most common brown; my grandfather had a rooster, he was grayish brownish, he even called him Graor, so it's colorful, it's grayish-white, but it's a little brownish-reddish. ” This epistemology of the word graorasto (grayish brownish) prompted me to create an animated work that deals with the search for that color. Animation was created in a creative environment for creative coding, as a new way of visual expression in my work practice. The search for color that everyone sees, feels and pronounces differently is a need for constant movement and new knowledge. The work Graorasto is a combination of newly created animation and Instagram story post, presented in a split screen video. A clear boundary has been set between the videos, but there is a connection at the level of associativity. Video has no sound, because the need of the work is to activate only the sense of sight. Autoportret
Generativni pristup umetnosti pruža nova polja izražavanja, i samim tim nove spoznaje ličnih i profesionalnih pomeranja granica, kroz svakodnevno korišćenje novih alata i radnog okruženja. The first self-portrait I made using a software environment for a creative coding, including a generative and strictly controlled approach to work. On the one hand, I design my own experiment, on the other hand, I assign unambiguous functions that create shapes, and in that way I create a new challenging process in my new media practice of creation. The generative approach to art provides new fields of expression, and thus new insights into moving personal and professional boundaries, through the daily use of new tools and the work environment. From the self-portrait photograph, which is the initial reference of this work, I made a raster that rotates vertically by 360 degrees. The result is an animation and a series of digital drawings (given 360 images / frames). Each recorded drawing is exactly one degree of a full circle, but also an image that has "life". out of that circle.
