Problematizujući pojam autorstva i originalnosti SU subvertira institucionalni sistem umetnosti - SU je istovremeno konceptualna umetnica, angažovani participativni projekat, grupni identitet i konačno advertajzing kampanja i brend. SU / SK (2013-2017) This project operates on the borderlines between art, anti art, non-art and contemporary advertising. Following the thesis of Joseph Beuys, that every individual can be an artist, the project is inspired by grotesque collectivism of Situationist International (SI), but also builds on tradition of artistic ads, mail art, as well as hypocritical development of conceptual art practices. By questioning the matter of authorship and originality SCA subverts the institutional system of art - SCA is at the same time a conceptual artist as well as an engaged participative project, group identity and finally an advertising campaign and brand. This long-standing project begins with a creation of a (textual) hybrid, collision of the opposites, that is supposed to present (virtual) artistic identity – Sweet Conceptual Artist. During the past few years this identity asked for interaction - communication, interpretation, collaboration and participation by using simple ads. The entire project involves a series of stages that follow evolution and career of this artistic identity – from the street ads on the pink paper, collaboration with magazine ELLE, group and solo exhibitions, taking part in art collections – to her final transition from Balkan into Western European identity and inauguration of the newly born Austrian artist Süße Konzeptkünstlerin (SK), in Vienna on the 22nd of March 2017. Initial creator of the project, ie. virtual artistic identity is playing the role of mediator, transforming her self during this process into producer and finally official manager of this new artist. FEMKANJE / RADIO MAPIRANJE NEZAVISNE SCENE (2015)
Trijenalu savremene umetnosti U3, održanog prošle godine pod nazivom Beyond the Globe u Galeriji moderne umetnosti u Ljubljani. Propratni tekst instalacije On the topic of Cosmos, komentar na kustoski okvir Borisa Grojsa, možete pročitati ovde:http://femkanje.com/on-the-topic-of-cosmos/. Total of 64 shows, broadcasted on NOFM radio from March 2013 to June 2014, are mapped onto 16 separate speakers representing 16 months of work. All of the shows are played simultaneously giving rise for more then 70 independent actors, of disunited and poorly organised scene, to finally be heard in one voice. The room filled with voices creates a particular “cocktail party” effect, where the audience can hear a single dialogue only with an additional effort. The installation is followed by a chronologically ordered and detailed list of all of the speakers and with a booth where you can listen to a selected episode in full as well. The installation was first shown at the 21. International festival of contemporary arts - City of Women in Ljubljana, as part of the Zig Zag exhibition held in the gallery ŠKUC in 2015. Later, at the invitation of the curator and theoretician Boris Groys, the installation was shown at the 8. Triennial of contemporary art - U3, held last year under the title Beyond the Globe at Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. An accompanying text of the installation On the topic of Cosmos, commentary to the curatorial framework of Boris Groys can be read here: http://femkanje.com/on-the-topic-of-cosmos/.
BELGRADE – LIFE OR DEATH (2014) Video easy and trailer for documentary_Director, producer and editor: Bojana S. Knežević_Writer and protagonist: Maja Atanasijević_Cinematographer: Aleksandar Ramadanović_Sound design: Predrag Šestić_ ‘The film follows a famous model and stylist Maja Atanasijević in her lonely, but intense struggle to brink back forgotten values of a city‘. Through a form of experimental documentary / video easy and a trailer for documentary, this project is conceived to test the environment about specific topic – ‘erosion of cultural values of the capital city’ and its causes. An intimate story about Belgrade (then and now), told by a famous model and stylist Maja Atanasijević, is followed by her eccentric performances in the public space. This story targeted wide audience and launched again debate about the difference between Belgrade ‘natives’ and ‘nonnatives’. Inspired by a famous feminist phrase ‘personal is political’, this project investigates limits of its interpretation by testing perception of a personal truth, in the specific conditions.
